How to Calculate Luminous Efficacy?
Time: 2025-05-07

In solar street lighting, luminous efficacy is a key metric for evaluating lighting efficiency.
Luminous Efficacy = Luminous Flux (lm) ÷ Power Consumption (W)

Example: A lamp with 1500 lumens and 15W power has an efficacy of 100 lm/W.

Higher luminous efficacy means more light with less energy—more efficient and eco-friendly.

Tips:

  • LED chip quality greatly impacts efficacy
  • Better heat dissipation ensures stable performance
  • Lens design affects light transmission efficiency
